Myth of Sisyphus
18 x 14 acrylic paint on canvas.
This painting is inspired by the legendary Greek myth of Sisyphus. Sisyphus was a hero in Greek mythology who was condemned to eternally roll a heavy stone uphill, only for it to roll back down just before reaching the summit, requiring him to start over. This punishment was inflicted upon him due to his arrogance and trickery. In the painting, I wrote behind the rolling stones and the mountain: “life is Beautiful. live happily.”
