Manijeh Habashi was born in Tehran, Iran. She is a self-taught Iranian artist and former attorney who was exiled from her country as a political refugee. She has lived in several countries, including Turkey, Germany, and France, and is now retired and residing in Washington, DC, USA, close to her children. While living in the US, she and her husband opened one of the most successful French bakeries in the capital, Le Caprice DC.
Since childhood, Manijeh has had a deep passion for nature and painting. Away from the demands of her legal career, she now dedicates her time to creating artwork in her studio. She primarily works with acrylic paints on canvas and also creates black and white pencil art. Nature’s beauty and tranquility have always inspired her, and this is reflected in her artwork, where nature is the central theme.
Art has become an integral part of her life, not just as a daily practice but also as a means of finding peace and beauty. Her artistic philosophy revolves around the conveyance of emotion, and she hopes to evoke feelings of happiness and serenity through her work. Her art is displayed in businesses, hotels, restaurants, mansions, and homes, and she takes great pride in knowing that her work brings joy to others.
